Embossing is a printing technique that creates a raised, three-dimensional design or pattern on a surface, typically paper, leather, or fabric. Unlike debossing, which creates an indented impression, embossing pushes the material upward to form the raised design. This method is commonly used for logos, text, or patterns on business cards, notebooks, packaging, or other branded products, adding a unique and tactile quality to your materials.
How Embossing Works:

1. Metal Dies Creation:
Two custom metal dies (plates) are created—one with a raised image (the positive die) and one with a recessed image (the negative die) that fits into it.

2. Heating the Dies:
The metal dies are heated inside a press machine. The heat makes the material more flexible, allowing for a crisp, detailed design.

3. Positioning the Product:
The item to be embossed is placed between the two dies. Proper alignment is crucial to ensure the design is precisely positioned.

4. Pressing the Dies:
The two dies are pressed together with the product in between, causing the material to be lifted and form the embossed design.

5. Final Result:
After pressing, the product emerges with a raised design that gives it a premium, tactile finish. The embossed design can be left plain or filled with ink or foil to further highlight the raised area.
