Pad Printing
Pad printing is a versatile printing technique used to transfer a 2D image onto 3D objects or irregularly shaped surfaces. It’s often used for branding on promotional products, electronics, and other items that have curved or uneven surfaces. This process allows for detailed, high-quality images to be applied to a variety of materials, including plastic, metal, glass, and rubber.
An offset printing process that involves ink being transferred from a plate to a rubber or silicone sheet and only then applied to the product. Offset refers to when the design is transferred from one surface to another before it reaches the product.
How Pad Printing Works:

Image Creation:
Your logo or design is etched onto a metal plate called a "cliché." The etched area will hold the ink that will be transferred to the product.

Ink Application:
Ink is applied to the etched design on the cliché, and a scraper (called a doctor blade) wipes off the excess ink, leaving ink only in the etched areas.

Ink Transfer:
A silicone rubber pad presses down on the cliché, picking up the ink from the etched areas. The silicone material is flexible, allowing it to conform to irregular surfaces.

Printing on Product:
The inked pad is then pressed onto the surface of the product, transferring the ink from the pad onto the item. The silicone pad's flexibility enables it to print on curved, uneven, or contoured surfaces.

Curing:
After printing, the ink is allowed to dry and cure, leaving a durable and precise print on the product.
